Starting off the Christmas Season

This is Johnnie and me at Pawling's Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony. We thought they were going to light the tree at 5pm because that is what the Chamber of Commerce clerk told me earlier that day when I called to ask. So...we arrived promptly at 5:15 for the ceremony, hoping that they hadn't lit the tree yet, and perhaps Santa Claus might around. We saw a small crowd but nothing was really going on. We walked around and found out that the tree was actually going to be lit at 6pm. We couldn't stay that long since we were going to a party that night and not to mention it was a chilly 26 degrees outside. We weren't quite prepared for it, we forgot our hats and gloves at home. Anyway we took pictures in front of this cute little building.

We were invited to a gingerbread house making party. Courtney, Johnnie, and I built this gingerbread house. Johnnie had a great time he made sure all the candy was suitable for our house by eating some first. By the end of the night his face was covered with green icing!! Can you tell which part was Courtney's idea? If you can't see it too clearly is says "Hansen #1" in candy cane lettering.

MY BIRTHDAY!!

A long time ago (about 27 years ago), in a far off land called "Lima", a little baby girl was born!!...Guess what? It's my birthday!! It's my birthday!! Is anyone else this excited?

That baby girl grew up to be one hot momma!! I'm starting my new blog today. I am excited about being able to post photos and tell everyone what is going on in our lives since we live so far away from a lot of our family. I also like the idea of having a photo journal especially since Johnnie is growing so quickly.
